Wearing extraordinary, elaborate hats to church has long been a cherished African American tradition. Knight Foundation has commissioned two local filmmakers to explore and document the rich tradition within Miami’s own fashionable black community. Sunday’s Best incorporates interviews, vintage and contemporary photography and local gospel music.

This documentary is the first film inspired by an Adrienne Arsht Center-presented program and will premiere at the Knight Concert Hall Sunday, Oct 18 during this season’s first Free Gospel Sundays concert.
