Applicant
Miami native Kathleen Hudspeth has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Miami in Printmaking. Her work has been in numerous local and national venues, including the Fredric Snitzer Gallery, the Bass Museum of Art and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Washington, D.C. Her critical writings have been published in Art Papers, The Sun Post, and her (now defunct) blog, The Next Few Hours. She has been a visiting critic and lecturer at the Museum of Contemporary Art in North Miami, and a volunteer docent for eight years at the Miami Art Museum. Hudspeth has been interested in starting a community print shop since 1995. Aware of the complexities of such an endeavor, Hudspeth deferred her dream in favor of garnering more experience in both art and business. This past spring, approaching her upcoming graduation from the University of Miami, Hudspeth finally felt the time was right to begin to realize this long-term goal.
