You’ve just witnessed a Random Act of Culture®.
On Friday, May 14, The Miami Music Project, the Arsht Center & the Knight Foundation joined forces to bring orchestral music to the masses. In fact, we brought it smack dab to the middle of Government Center at the height of lunchtime. 4 musicians, 2 violins, 1 viola, 1 cello and a whole lot of magic. Stay tuned for more news, images & video.
Random Acts of Culture™ is a new program funded by the John S. & James L. Knight Foundation designed to bring creativity out of the concert halls and into the streets. For more information about RAC & other Knight arts projects visit KnightArts.org and sign up for our weekly newsletter.

omg..paying it forward takes on a whole new meaning..chills and thrills are greatly appreciated…gave me a kind of knights of the round table kind of feel..
I was stunned of the magnitude of voices gathering together in a Department Store.. Absolutely beautiful. Tears ran down my eyes to see the beauty of all races , colors and creeds, singing so joyfully and happily..in one accord..
You truly are astounding people to do this act of kindness. This Nation deserves to bring back our heritage.. God Bless you
I completely agree with Ruth. WOW! I want to participate in a singing event. Are there any coming up in the Indiana region or close by? The arts garden area at the circle center mall in Indianapolis would be beautiful to do something in.
The Northwest would truly benefit from a RAC performance. Please, please consider Seattle as a next stop. I’ve was so moved by the Macy’s performance that I have watched it at least 2-3 times a day since receiving the link. It lifts my spirits. Thank you!
Thank you for the joy and the community you create.
