In just one week, on March 25, we’ll start accepting applications for the Knight Arts Challenge in Detroit.

This year, we’ll be giving away up to $3 million to arts and cultural projects that engage and enrich the city. The deadline is April 22.

We are also hosting a Town Hall meeting, to get your questions answered, from 7 to 9 p.m. April 4 at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD), 4454 Woodward Avenue.

    Had some fantastic ideas for my hometown of Detroit.
    I have the team of artists too.
    Just no way in HECK that artists should be burdened with finding funding twice. If you’re offering grants, do just that.

    I really wish I could help, but cannot now.

We’ve found though that once artists win the challenge, they find it easier to reach out to new donors. If you’d like to talk more about it, please come to our Town Hall at 7 p.m. April 4th at MOCAD.
