Every year, Miami New Times compiles a ‘Best of Miami’ list. The categories are seemingly endless, and while you may not agree with every winning choice, the list is a great place to find new places to go and different things to do, eat or see. Miamians seem to put a lot of stock in the paper’s choices, and this year, five Knight Arts Challenge winners and finalists were mentioned in the ‘Best of’. On Wednesday June 10, Knight Foundation President and CEO Alberto Ibargüen gave a keynote speech at the League of American Orchestras National Conference held in Orchestra Hall, Chicago.
The audience was encouraged to adapt music performance so that indeed the art form does not die, but instead persists in a digital medium enhanced by greater communal accessibility. Find his speech here.
